The Classic Ponytail is always a staple style for women. Its easy to accomplish, and can add a touch of style to any outfit. Whether in your office or out on the town with your friends, the ponytail aims to please. Below are a couple of tips on creating the perfect classic ponytail.

Step 1:

To begin prep the hair by applying style cream to the crown and hairline.

Step 2:

Use a large round brush, and blow dry until straight. If hair is curly or wavy apply a straightening balm to protect the hair before applying heat.

Step 3:

With a fine tooth comb, create a center part or create a side sweep bang for a polished look.

Step 4:

Pull the hair back into a tight ponytail at the nape, cover with a elastic band.

Step 5:

Add a bit of finishing creme to the ends to help protect hair against weather. Finish the style by lightly spritzing with hair spray to help hold your ponytail in place.

Lure Tip:

To hide elastic band, grab a piece of hair the width of your finger from the bottom of the ponytail. Spritz it with hairspray and wrap it around the band. Secure under the ponytail with a bobby pin.
